Neo Architectural Lighting enters the lighting market

Feb. 6, 2023
Founded last fall, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.–based company is led by industry veterans Kent Pedersen and Amir Bagherlee.

On the heels of last month’s announcement of Louis Poulsen’s new CEO for its U.S. and Canada markets comes the public debut of Neo Architectural Lighting as the exclusive distributor of the company’s commercial lighting products in North America. Neo CEO Kent Pedersen and COO Amir Bagherlee co-founded the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.–based company last fall and are “actively expanding their portfolio of architectural lighting brands to include a variety of manufacturers and new companies emerging into the North American markets,” according to the company press release.

“The Neo team is committed to bringing the best of architectural lighting to our clients and we’re looking ahead to expand our portfolio of products from other manufacturers,” Pedersen said in the release. “We have over four decades of experience and a client-focused business model that includes a comprehensive, U.S.-based customer service, custom and modified product development as well as local production and warehousing to support our national network of clients and their projects.”

Pedersen is the immediate past president and CEO of Louis Poulsen, where he spent three decades helping to introduce the Denmark, Copenhagen–headquartered company’s renowned lighting products in projects of all scales, including those at the University of Chicago and the Morrell Wine Bar and Café in Rockefeller Center, New York. Bagherlee is a former vice president at Louis Poulsen who helped oversee technical development in the North America market for nine years.

According to the press release, Neo’s team of lighting engineers and technicians “keeps up to date with building developments and helps create long-lasting solutions for the benefit of their partners, their projects and ultimately the people who will use the spaces, raising the standard for the importance of lighting for humans and their immediate surroundings.” Pedersen and Bagherlee view “this new era of Neo Architectural Lighting as an even greater opportunity to further adapt to the market while ultimately helping create unique, human-centric lighting environments.”
